TAPE DELAY: A UI CHALLENGE
A few screen designs for a music streaming app geared toward retro 80s music.
Objective:
To design the UI for an 80s music player mobile app and prepare for handover to developers.
Key Functionalities:
1) Create a profile 2) Search for new artists 3) Make a playlist
The layout for the 80’s Music app utilized bright, almost neon colours and images that reflect upon the era. The images and the colour themes are taken from sourcing and researching film, music, fashion, and art from the time period and applying them to evoke a retro feel, while still keeping the target audience in mind.
After researching current and past versions of streaming apps to get an understanding of user flows and expectations, and some initial sketches in the iteration stages, I designed wireframes for a few screens.
